This pattern was first seen in the Sultan Han caravanserai in Turkey in the 1200s. SEP is the first to attempt to interpret this classic geometrical masterpiece by adapting the original pattern to fit cross-stitch hand-embroidery. We drew inspiration from and modernised this ancient Islamic architectural shape, and as such, it exists throughout the SEP product lines: our stone-washed linen shawls or the organic cotton hoodie. It will surely add a touch of elegance, balance and trendiness to your space. It's a story as old as time that lives on through the SEP Artists who tell their own in every stitch.
